With a budget of $25,000, you should easily have access to the necessary tools to get you car that has what you need and what you want. As with most teens, you look for speed, coolness and reliability but that maybe really the last thing you care about. As a teen, you will probably need at least a 4 seater to enable you to take out your friends and the occasional girl(s). A car that would be advisable to look into is the 2005-2007 Infiniti G35 coupe w/Sport Package & Navigation. This may seem like a far reach but an Infiniti G35 can be bought with these packages or with at least one of them. The G35 coupe promises a 0-60 mph time of 5.4 seconds and with the Sports Package, body roll is kept at a low minimum. With the legendary VQ35 engine that delivers 300 hp and 270 torque, you should be able to pass most people on the street but still cruise when you want to. But if a Japanese rice burner does not interest you, there is always the 2005 Pontiac GTO 6.0, this car will deliver 450 hp and jump to 60 in 4.8 seconds which is as fast as a 2009 BMW 335i Twin Turbo. The car's massive V8 will give you torque when you need it, and the muscular stance shows people on the road that you have one special car. But with you budget, a new car is also in your reach, for example, you can technically , according to Chevrolet, buy a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro V6 which has a 3.6L Direct Injection engine that will hurdle the Camaro to 60 in 5.9 seconds or you can get the top of the line model Ford Mustang V6 which with its 4.0L V6 should launch the Mustang in the low 6 second range. Here is a list of cars that you might find to your liking:

Well if you want a car that is reliable and will keep them from street racing try a Ford Escort. The 88 Escort I learned on was the most reliable car I've driven. You might also look into a Toyota Camry. Personally though if I were you I wouldn't buy a new car if they are just learning to drive. New drivers are prone to accidents especially until they have been in one as the driver.

Wish I had that much money as a teen. When I was in high school I drove crappy 1980s oil burning ford 150s, and old buick park avenues to school. Got both of those cars for $400 a piece. If you really have $25,000 then get a nice late model used Buick Park Avenue, or a nice Silverado or Ford pickup. They will run forever. If you meant $2500, then just buy a old piece of crap like I did.

In my family, a "starter car" for a teen was the one that the teen earned all the money to purchase and saved enough money in order to cover insurance and operating costs. We were not given cars unless and until we had earned our bachelor degrees, and at that time a new mid-size car plus one year of insurance was the graduation gift. Before that time, we walked, used our mother's car to run her errands, or worked to save up to purchase a car. As it turned out, none of us even tried to save up for a car -- we were too busy with school and activities.

How in the world does a teen have a price range of 25,000 dollars? Something is not right here. Dad is paying? If dad has 25k and is ready to spend it on jr. than he is a total retard. But, retards don't generally have 25,000 in cash. So I am really confused. Only thing I can figure is someone is running out and borrowing money to buy you a car. DUMB DUMB DUMB !!! Buy what you can pay for.
