Question:
350z, RX8, or S2000? What one to buy?

I am going to be buying one of these cars within the next week or two. I was about to buy an s2000 that I really liked but the owner had some problems and I guess he didn't have the title for the car. So I'm basically searching again. Out of these 3

S2000. I really like this car. This Is the one that I like but they tend to cost a bit more and I know if I buy one that is stock I will spend a ton of money on it. But on the plus side it is a way better built car than the other two and performs much better other than a straight line vs the 350. Also these cars have a lot of mod potential.

350z. Well this is more of a GT car than a sports car. It looks nice though and has a lot of power. But thats about it other then they are affordable and more practical than the s2k. there are a lot of cheap mods for the car but most of the mods are things that are standard on the s2k. Plus everyone that has them puts on all season tires and are dumb kids.

RX8. this is the most practical car. It performs similar than the s2000 but only at about 90%. but it is practical, they are cheap, and the engines have 8 year warranties. Unfortunately there aren't much for mods unless you have a lot of cash to spend which is a bad thing.

they all have ups and downs but and I like how they all look. I have drove all 3 and like them all in their own way. I just don't know what to get and can't decide.

The S2000 is the only way to go. I shopped all three as well, and I bought the S2k. Why?

- the RX8 is fugly. Way fugly... it handles better than a 350Z but not as good as an S2000.

- the 350Z handles more like a Mustang than a Japanese sports car. The S2000 runs circles around a 350Z on a track.

- the S2000 is a convertible, and easily the best looking of the three.

I currently own a RX8, if you plan on driving it for a while (long trips) or pushing the car to the limits (racing every week) I highly recommend the rx8 its stock tuning is setup for racing and will smoke the other two in any race with turns in it. when you say there are no cheap mods for it I'm assuming you're talking about performance mods, a few cheap ones off the top of my head are: lightweight pulleys, lightweight flyweel, highflow cat, aftermarket exhaust(lighter and less restricting), intake mods(ram air or cold air) all of these provide noticeable performance increases and are relatively cheap. The first engine that came with my car lost compression because "I was grannying the engine" this came straight from the mazda tech's mouth apparently I wasn't driving the car hard enough and this caused carbon to build up in the engine, mazda replaced it for free under the previously mentioned warranty and told me that I'm supposed to redline the car pretty much every other day, its not very often you hear a mechanic tell you to drive your car harder.

The above guy is nuts, an S2000 will hand an RX8 its *** in the turns with equally-skilled drivers behind the wheel.

S2K It has many mod options as well and it looks sleek. You can buy a used one for a reasonable price too.
