Let me give you some background information. I'm 15 years old, and I turn 16 next January, or in 6 months. My dad and I both love cars, and I'm looking for a project car that would hopefully be done by my 16th birthday. I'm open to pretty much everything except Honda Civics, however I do like Japanese imports. My budget isn't much, maybe around 2-3 thousand. If you have an suggestions, I would love to hear them, thanks.

If your set on import, try an old Datsun 300. Thats what i'd do. However i'd recommend a 60s mustang. Their value is pretty much ever increasing. Get a junker on for cheap, give it alot of TLC, and when your finished you'll have a car worth some real money. The first lesson to learn when fixing up a car is patience. Little ambitious to try and get it done in 6 months, unless you have literally nothing else to do, are an expert, and have plenty of money. Take your time with it and be a perfectionist with it

Nissan 240SX?

Or if you want something with some real power;

late 80's early 90's

V8 Camaro or 5.0L Mustang
