Would this line work to get the best price for a used car. " i know that you want my money and you know that i want that car, I know that the car isnt worth what it's selling for so im gonna tell you the price i want it at, take it or leave it $1300 (as i tap an object firmly with four fingers)." the car is listed for 1700 but not worth more than 1300

If you will buy at $1300, offer $1100 or $1200. A lot will depend on how much wiggle room he has. Give him a chance to counter-offer. If he has no wiggle room, he'll be the one turning and walking away. When a customer gets aggressive with me, I usually dump them and go in and tell the other Salesmen that I just had an idiot. We gotta make a living too!

if you are driving that far they know they have you even if they give you a warranty, and they won't, will you drive 3 hours to have something fixed ? find something close to home. it can be a different model *** No matter what you buy, ALWAYS have a mechanic check the car first. Otherwise that spiffy Eclipse may not make it home on a long drive. Or it may need another $1K of repairs. KBB prices are always high, Edmunds says retail on that car is about $6K. depends on options. It sure isn't 8, especially from a used car dealer. Buy a Civic. Look in Craigslist & buy from a private party. *** Nobody negotiates over the phone. you have to go there. And don't go there I have walked away when buying new cars & the manager suddenly said OK.

The best way to negotiate price is too use leverage. You must know what you are doing and how to find the soft spots in a dealers armor!

Try to help the dealer instead of getting them all riled up! Sounds strange right? But it works... ask the dealer what they have in the way of aged inventory and what is about to go to the auction. The dealer will always sell aged inventory at a rock bottom price to you rather than lose money at the auction.

You could go that way. Or say you have a comparable car lined up and but you would rather get this one. Then give your price and if they don't respond walk away. They may come chasing after you if they think you have a back up car in mind.

Also, dress sexy, tight pants and open shirt. You could start out flirting before you get stern. Even some very manly men like a little attention and that you could you an even better reaction.

just be in control of the situation .. dont let the salesman be in control..

remember you can walk out at any time, and they want you to buy alot more than they dont want you to buy .. you gotta be confident and know what you are talking about. make sure you work out every offer that they give you.. do the math and figure out for yourself if its a good deal. dont rely on them to tell you its a good deal

- here's a good website to look for real good, affordable and quality vehicles from official government auctions!

I bought my Honda Accord for just $2250 with a milage of 5,270!

And it's been already a year I'm riding my car and it's still doing well! I've recommended it to my friends and all of them are enjoying their used cars and have no problem with it!

1 is to be willing to walk away if you are not happy with the price, you can look as stern as you want, but if you aren't willing to walk away, you will just annoy the salesman.
