I am a teenage guy and looking for a replacement for our 2007 minivan. We are looking used and want to spend around $10,000. Six options we have found are:

2006 Ford Fusion SE V6 FWD Auto, 91000 miles.
2007 Honda Accord SE I4 FWD Manual(I would have to learn how to drive it). 90000 miles.
2008 Ford Taurus Limited V6 FWD Auto. 117000 miles. (Kind of smells like a smoker, but very faint if at all.)
2006 Pontiac G6 I4 Auto. 41000 miles.
2007 Honda Civic LX I4 Auto. 95000 miles. (I don't really like this option).
2005 Ford Focus Auto I4. 80000 miles (I don't like this one either).

Any other recommendations? We live in Minnesota so there would be snow, but we will get snow tires. Which one of these seems the best, or should we look elsewhere?

The Hondas are the most reliable there. Go with the manual Accord. It is easy to learn and you will get slightly better mileage. Car will be also fun to drive but it will be a bit annoying if you are experience stop and go traffic. Manual transmission are also cheaper to replace than an automatic

I think the first two are by far the best choices. I'd lean toward the Accord, because it will get better mileage (4 cyl.) and because it's a stick shift. It's also a year newer. One advantage to driving a stick is that it's much less likely to get stolen, because most car thieves nowadays don't know how to drive it! Hondas are very reliable, in my experience.

2007 Accord or 2007 Civic
