Another problem is they didn't have good seatbelts, no airbags and no crumple zones to absorb the impact of a collision. All those things would be especially important for a small car to have. The modern computer controlled fuel injected engine is difficult to turn down when you compare it's performance to a 70's carbureted engine. If your mainly interested in the look of old cars, why not look into some of the newer car kits that have modern equipment, but have car bodies made to look like one of the old cars. However, restored cars are sold in auctions and may be a great investment to consider if you have a garage to keep it in so that you can maintain it well. Try going to some car auctions, but first I'd join an old car club and learn what the other club members can recommend to you.
