I am wanting to sell my car on ebay (its worth roughly £110,000 second hand)

I took it to the dealership and they can't offer me anywhere near that so I wanted to list it on ebay.

I was wondering if it sells roughly what % of the final bid do i ask to be put into my paypal? also if collection takes place the rest will be cash/bankers draft ect what happens if someone from another country buys it and requires it to be shipped? how is this done and how is the rest of the payment then recieved?

I looked on ebay from doing some research on google and it's not telling me what i wish to know.

If the dealer won't give you what it's worth, people on ebay may not be willing either as they are searching for a deal. However, to answer your question, usually you set an amount due within 24-48 hours after the auction to be paid by paypal as a deposit, it's usually a token sum (like 500 pounds) just to show that they will follow through with the transaction. The reason for the small deposit is that paypal charges a percentage of the money that they transfer as a commission so the less you transfer, the less you pay. The full amount should be paid by cash in person, a bank draft in person or a wire transfer if they are abroad.



As for the shipping, they buyer always pays and they hire a company to ship it, the company does all the leg work and all you really have to do is provide them with the information they require for exportation.

Just Curious, what car is it that is worth £110,000 second hand. you will pay a hefty sum in commission to ebay to sell a car of that value. You may be better off shopping around dealers for a price.

havent heard of anybody going to ebay to look at the 110,000 buck cars/most of those cars are sold privately or through used car dealer/i know i want to see it and drive it first
