You really need to know what you are purchasing. Typically auction cars are being auctioned because the can't be sold any other way.

Cars from charity auctions are there because owners didn't want to pay to get them fixed.

If you are wanting to purchase a car so you can learn about how to fix them, or if you are planning on taking auto shop in HS or a local JC, I'd say the vehicles are worth it. Otherwise, I'd seriously consider purchasing from a third party or dealership.

My daughter and some of her friends have gotten cars at the auto auction. They got the cars at good prices, they invested minimal amounts. The secret is to bring someone with you that knows mechanics and cars to look em over before you buy it.:)

Scamola! My Dad always said "If it was so great, how come the dealer could not sell it". I used to work at a dealership (Chevy). All the shite cars (lemons) got sent to the auction straight away. Caveat emptor my friend.

there defenitly scams. my brother got an suv there and 35 days later the transmission shot. he also wtnesses someone selling a car with oil leaking out of the tailpipe.

stick with pre owned certified used car dealers.
