How do I get back the taxes back on a new car I bought out of state?

I'm a texas resident, but I bought a new car in alabama. I was told that I could get the taxes I paid on the car back, because I bought it out of state.

Somebody gave you a Bums Steer on that, you pay taxes on everything, any state, you first have to get it reregistered in TX then argue with them

buying a car is not like buying a house. you can't write off the taxes or interest you paid.

not to be mean but..good luck with that. once taxes are paid you dont get it back..regardless
