If all three are acceptable by other criteria, then I would go strictly by quality.

Here are the 2010 Auto Reliability GPAs (on the standard scale of 0.00 to 4.00) of the three:

The Subaru B9 Tribeca: 2.42 over a 3-year data history

The Mazda5: 1.63 over a 4-year data history

The Dodge Journey: 0.00 over a 1-year data history.

So, of the three, I would choose the Subaru B9 Tribeca.

For comparison, here are overall 2010 Auto Reliability GPAs of several brands, in descending order:

Honda: 3.67 (an A)

Scion: 3.56 (a low A)

Toyota: 3.53 (a low A)

Acura: 3.38 (a B)

Subaru: 2.61 (a low B)

Hyundai: 2.54 (a low B)

Mazda: 2.28 (a C)

Ford: 2.17 (a C)

Mercedes-Benz: 1.66 (a low C)

BMW: 1.64 (a low C)

Volkswagen: 1.58 (a low C)

Chevrolet: 1.37 (a D)

Audi: 1.29 (a D)

Chrysler: 1.04 (a D)

Dodge: 0.97 (a D).

If I were you, I would definitely get the Dodge Journey. In my opinion, they're really nice looking!! :) Much more than the other 2. They're spacious, and even though it's American, the gas mileage difference isn't going to be much different than the foreign cars. I think that they're good SUV's, so that's what I would suggest for you to get. Good luck, and I hope this helps!! :)

Tribeca, you get Subaru engineering and AWD which is much better than the others.
