Is it just me, or is the 2008 Mercury Sable one attractive car?

It's a great car! And I'm thinking you might be a fellow Lincoln/Mercury dealer!



It's actually the current Montego. And Ford's upcoming Taurus is their Five Hundred. VERY smart marketing angle to go back to the names that consumers are familiar with. Before the Toyota craze, the Taurus was the perrenial top selling car.



I like the more sleek grill and windshield. It loses some of the "bubble" look of the Montego and Five Hundred.



And these cars are IMPRESSIVE cars! VERY highly rated by the IIHS for their safety features (Montego was #1 in class in 2006). Plus, they're getting the more powerful 3.5 Liter V-6! The Duratec 3.0 V-6 was GREAT, so this 3.5 should really ROCK (same engine as the Lincoln MKZ).



GREAT looking car that already has a proven track record! Now it will just have the name to help boost sales!

I think it's got a little more "Bling".

Notice the chrome chevron on the front quarter panel & the chrome 3 bar grill ?

The new powertrain is awesome too !

Attractive? Yes I think so, too.

I'v test driven the Edge (3.5L v6 w/6 speed auto) & thats the same engine/trans to be in 08 Taurus & Sable.

& both are built right here in my home town !

Attractive is a little strong. It's definitely a lot better looking than the current Montego, but not attractive like a BMW M5 or Audi S8.

i own a shop,and actually your right they look an awfully lot like a Mercedes Benz in a way,but i think the sable has more and better styling features on it than the Benz does,but i have to admit its one good looking car,it has a lot of features like the more expensive cars has ,and i think that was the idea to pull people away from the high priced ones and say hey look at me ,i have the same features for thousands less,and it might work the color on that one made it look good also,good luck i hope this help,s.i think your going to buy one of these,or thinking about it anyway.

Mercury sable and Ford Taurus are fine vehicles.The front wheel drive is a plus when you start up those hills in snow.
