I am buying a few cars and need to check up on the history of each car but to get a CarFax account they charge per report and dont have
any type of unlimited deal.
So does anyone know of any service or site that provides a membership that enables one to acces car history reports other than CarFax?

The only two companies that collect vehicle history data in the US are Autocheck and Carfax. All the other companies are affiliates/resellers of one of those two companies.

Carfax has more data and costs more.

Autocheck has less data but is cheaper.

http://www.is-it-a-lemon.com/

This is a site that is dedicated to determining if a car has been in an accident or experienced significant damage. This is absolutely not the best resource for legitimate information however it is another option.

I highly recommend the following:

This is a site that allows you to get UNLIMITED reports. Typically carfax will only give you 5 reports in a 'multipack'. However, autocheck, which is run through experian (a credit checking service) offers this service for unlimited reports!

Another option is to go to the dealership and have them run a free report for you on your car or a car you are interested in.

CarFax has admitted that they only understand "what's reported to them" by ability of a restoration save. Reporting isn't a regulation. So, do not have confidence in that thoroughly. extra perfect to have a mechanic and an autobody guy seem on the automobile. they are in a position to tell maximum cases good off the bat. fairly autobody. vehicle areas (engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, etc...those areas are meant to placed on out. Or be fixed especially cases.

AutoCheck still has unlimited account subscriptions for 60 days.

With Carfax you are now limited to 5 reports per subscription. Too much abuse of the system caused them to change their policy.
