Newer cars may be faster, but there's nothing as bad-*** as a classic muscle car

It's an apples to oranges comparison. A muscle car (at least vintage ones) is a land barge that sucks at everything except straight line performance (great drag cars) whereas a European sports car is a balance of aesthetics, comfort, and most importantly excellent balance for handling (great road cars). I prefer balance over raw power, but it is fun watching the front wheels of an old Camaro lift up as it blasts down the drag strip. It's all a matter of preference; both types of vehicles are popular.

Old US muscle cars are crude with relatively little power per litre compared to.modern European cars.

Live (beam) rear axle fitted on cart springs.

Even Ford had to admit on the new Mustang it was not good enough. They then realised the front suspension was not suitable

They make terrible daily drivers.

In Europe we have a lot more winding roads so handling is critical.

We also have engines making a lot more power per litre.

A diesel here can easily make 85 bhp per litre with massive torque.

Euro sports cars are fast in the real world and go round bends without trying to kill the driver. Muscle cars are possibly faster in terms f top speed but lack control and finesse and their interiors tend to look and feel cheap when next to a Euro car.

check out ariel atom 3.5 ..and radical rxc turbo 500......no muscle car could live with them ...on a circuit they would lap 95% of muscle cars in 10 laps ...and still do over 30 mpg!...any lotus car ...porsche boxster ..mazda mx5 ......where you guys get caught out is you only rely on a heavy foot and giant engines ...no driving skills ...yet you struggle to get 100bhp per litre ...in europe we double that without trying ...our F1 cars produce more than 900 bhp from only a 1,6 litre engine
