BMW Z3 vs Mercedes SLK vs Mazda Mx-5 vs MG F?

I am a teenager and I have been working hard for ages to save up enough money for a convertible. Now, with a little help from my dad, I can finally get one. I'm looking at the BMW Z3, the Mercedes SLK (R170 version), the Mazda Mx-5 (NB version) or the MG F.

The SLK is slightly more expensive than the Z3, so I would think Z3, but I've heard good things about the SLK. Same goes for the Mazda, which is the same price as the Z3. I kind of prefer the Z3, but after years of watching Top Gear, I've noticed how they're always going on about how good the Mazda Mx-5 is, which is why I've also added it to the list. Lastly, the MG is the cheapest of the lot (though arguably not as nice) but if I bought the MG I would have a lot of money left over to customize it or to spend on something else.

Which one do you think I should get and why? Thanks in advance.

I used to have an MX-5 until some guy in a Toyota Tundra ran a red and totaled it.



You can spend a lot more money than an MX-5 costs but you cannot have more fun in a car.



I never thought I could grin so big as I did the first time I went down the windy Arroyo Seco Parkway between Pasadena and downtown Los Angeles.



And on the Pacific Coast Highway through Monterrey and Big Sur I felt pity for the people in the Boxsters who spend 4 times the money yet could not possibly be having more fun.



Going through the high desert in California at night with the wind in your hair the MX-5 was heaven.



Also parts for the MX-5 are plentiful and they are very reliable in the first place.

all those cars are great

but not necessary, if i were you i would save your money for college (college has some big expenses books cost me about 1000 dollars a semester)

so i would just say buy a nicer used car for like 10000 dollars and use the rest to have fun in college!

remember cars don't last forever, but memories are set in stone!
