Honda, Acura, Nissan and Infiniti. Just to tell you, Mustang isnt a brand. Lol, crappy FORD makes Mustangs. Bug-Beetle also isnt a brand, it's a car mad by Wolkswagon.

Also, Infiniti is a brand of Nissan. Infiniti is really the US version of Nissan. In Japan, the Nissan Skyline is an Infiniti G35 here.

Same with Acura. Acura is a higher division of Honda, so in Japan, the "Honda Integra Type-R

" is the Acura RSX-S here in the US. The higher divison means that the "Acura" brand is more luxorious and such like that.

The far by most dependable is the Honda (Acura). They last almost forever if you take good care of it, saves gas, roomy sedans and good engines...espicially if you have VTEC. ;D Favorite Honda/Acura cars: Honda Accord, Honda Civic, Honda S2000, Honda NSX, Acura Integra, Acura TSX (Accord Euro), Acura RSX (Integra DC5) etc.

After would be a Nissan/Infiniti. They also last very long, good gas, powerful engines and fun to drive. Nissan is a very dependable brand which can save you thusands in repairs. Great brand.

Then the MaZda, not Masda. Mazda is really kown for the're Rotary engines instead of traidionial engines. Im not a big fan of Mazda, but they make good cars and are both sporty and economicial.

Then the Wolkswagon (Your Bug Beetle thing.) They are Eruo cars, saves gas and fun to drive also. The Golf, Jetta, New Beetle etc are all great cars. If you like forgin cars, this is also a choice.

Then would be Ford (Mustang thing majigger) and Jeep. These are American cars. Not all of them are gas guzzlers, but you'll need some repair after a while. Some are dependable, and some are not. But if you like raw power and the sound of engines, get an american car.

But the most dependable car by car is the Honda/Acura. Like I said, they last a long time, roomy sedans, sporty coupes and really dependable. Uhhh yea..sorry for the long answer. xD

Honda wants $500 to change the timing belt every 50,000 miles, and all the japanese cars are super easy to steal, they DO get stolen often so...

None of the Above, except maybe the Beetle (which is German)..read on,

The DIESEL new beetle gets super MPG, does not have a spark ignition like gas cars, and you wont be back here asking what this or that code is and why it idles bad, or quits when you come to a light.

The beetle sits on the same frame as the Golf, I found a report on the golf, same car, different body..

Economy:

One of the main advantages of diesel engines is fuel economy. A diesel engine generally uses less fuel than the same size gasoline engine in comparable vehicles. One reason for a diesel's fuel economy is the thermal efficiency of the diesel fuel compared to gasoline.

Low Emissions:

Diesel engines produce lower levels of certain kinds of pollutants than gasoline engines. Because the peak combustion temperatures of diesel engines are lower than gasoline engines, NO (nitric oxide) formation is less. However, diesel engines do produce more particulate or solid pollutants than gasoline engines. This is the smoke commonly seen coming from diesel exhaust pipes. Until recently (c. 1980), particulate emission, although not particularly attractive, was not considered a significant health hazard. Those ideas have been challenged and has forced diesel engine manufacturers to reduce the solid emissions produced by their engines.

Reliability:

It is true that most truck and industrial diesel engines remain in service longer than most passenger car gasoline engines. It is also true that Daimler-Benz has a reputation for building durable engines. And it is true that a diesel engine has to be stronger than a gasoline engine to withstand the increased combustion chamber pressures and temperatures. When selling to industrial and commercial markets, it is important to have a long lasting product. So, the manufacturers of commercial diesels overbuilt their engines in comparison to gasoline engines. The passenger car engines built by Mercedes were also overbuilt because the same engines that went into private use were also sold for commercial applications (like taxi and fleet use) where extreme durability is required.

The Honda ranks first. Jeep is probably second.

For real ratings though visit www.Edmunds.com. I don't get anything for the referral. It's a site kind of like kelley blue book where you can get ratings on things like safety and crash tests. It's a pretty good site to visit.

I had a 2000 jeep grand cherokee, and for a low price you get tons of options, and a powerfull suv. the only complaint is if you do have to replace something it is generally more expensive then other vehicles I have owned and it seems to have little annoying things go wrong, like the door lock will break or the window will not roll up. very easy fixes, but annoying to have to repair.
