do i need the cert to sell the car, because i dont know where the car was last mot, my friened wants to buy the car, but ive only got the log book, is it expensive to get another mot cert,and how do i go about replacing it, without, going for another mot x

As another poster has correctly stated you can pick up a copy from any MOT garage for no more than £10. Alternatively you can get a copy from VOSA (don't ring DVLA as they have nothing to do with MOT testing).

If you have lost or damaged your certificate, you can get a duplicate from any MOT testing station.



You’ll need to provide the vehicle registration mark and either the original MOT test number, or document reference number - this can be found on the registration certificate (V5C).



The maximum fee for a duplicate certificate for a car is £10.
