I bought an F350 from copart in Nampa Idaho. When the transporter came to pick it up he took a picture of a huge dent on the side of the truck. The entire side of the truck is smashed in. On the auction listing that damage wasn't there. By the time I saw the pics he had the truck loaded up and was on the road. I called the GM at that lot and he said after the truck leaves the lot its mine and there's nothing they will do. The truck was obviously damaged on their lot and it happened after they took the original pictures for the auction listing. I'm getting seriously screwed on this thing. Does anyone know how to make them fix my truck?

This sounds like total & complete BS on your part.

99% chance they didn't smash it and a 99% chance it didn't matter if they did.

You own the entire car. Suing costs money and you have a 98% chance of losing.

That's what happens when you buy something sight unseen. It's the seller's word against yours. You compounded the matter by allowing the transporter to take it off of the lot with visible damage. Once the vehicle is off of the lot, you own it, warts and all.

Best you can do is sue them if the truck clearly does not match the pictures, and the transport driver is willing to execute an affidavit as to vehicle condition as of pick-up. I cant speak to your chances of winning or collecting.

Copart says in their agreement that even after you buy the car they are not responsible for damage or theft even when it is still on their lot. Their lawyers cover everything, I doubt you will be able to make any claim with them.

well, it seems he don't want to do the right thing. the only other thing yo can do is to take him to court and either get your money back or have him pay to fix the damage. that is about all you can do. just make sure you document everything like pictures or video of damages and get the transporter's statement.

They aren't going to fix the truck. You bought it as is, no warranty and you own it.
